Dishwasher & Driver

Dishwasher & Driver

About Us

Amigos is a community-driven surf camp for solo travelers who want more than just waves — they want connection, meaning, and the best week of their lives. Our guests are mostly early-to-mid-20s, lots of first-time female travelers, beginner surfers, and people who travel to feel something real.

Job Description

Every smooth mealtime at Amigos depends on someone fast, focused, and full of good energy. We're looking for a highly efficient Dishwasher & Driver who takes pride in clean work, moves with purpose, and lifts the whole team's spirit.

You'll work a split shift, supporting the breakfast team in the morning and the dinner service in the evening. Your main focus will be on keeping the dishwashing operation running efficiently, ensuring the kitchen and service teams can perform at their best. During peak hours, you'll help deliver plates to guests and assist the service team — bringing energy, speed, and helping with the airport shuttle once a week.

What You'll Do:

  • Wash dishes, keeping the dish area spotless and fully organized
  • Support the breakfast team with fast morning dishwashing and maintaining a clean setup
  • Support the evening dinner service with fast dishwashing and helping run food during busy hours
  • Drive guests, especially airport transfers on Saturdays
  • Assist with loading/unloading luggage
  • Bring positive energy and teamwork into every task — even the small ones.

What You Bring:

  • A valid driving licence and confident driving skills (vans experience is a plus)
  • Strong efficiency — you clean fast, stay organized, and keep a steady pace
  • A positive, energetic attitude that lifts the team
  • Reliability — you show up on time, ready, and consistent
  • Physical stamina for lifting, carrying, and staying active throughout your split shift
  • Flexibility to switch between dishwashing, service support, and driving when needed.

Benefits:

This position comes with a range of benefits designed to make your experience with us both enjoyable and fulfilling.

  • Accommodation: Embrace surf camp life inside a private Quechua tent in the staff camping zone. Your accommodation includes a proper mattress, bedframe, pillow, blanket, and bedding, along with access to electricity.
  • Meals: Enjoy homemade breakfast, lunch, and a delicious 3-course dinner every single day, prepared by our talented kitchen team. (Wednesday dinner isn’t a 3-course but it is provided for staff)
  • Surf Gear: Take advantage of our top of the range surfboards and wetsuits, available for your personal use, allowing you to fully embrace the surfing experience at Oyambre beach, a short 7 minute walk away.
  • Yoga Classes: If the daily yoga session slots aren’t full, you can put your name down and enjoy a free session with our yoga instructor.
  • Workshops: The team are more than welcome to join the Surf Theory class, hosted by the surf instructors, and the Nutrition Workshop, hosted by the chefs.
  • Time Off: Benefit from one day off per week, aligned with the kitchen team schedule, to explore the surroundings or simply relax and recharge.
